  General Notes:

Richard sailed on the William & Thomas with Sir Richard Munden's squadron which retook St Helena from the Dutch in 1673, when he settled on St Helena. He was first mentioned on the William and Thomas in 1672, the William and Thomas being described in the Admiralty records as a ketch and a merchantman. Greenwich Admiralty Records suggest it was seconded to the Admiralty for the Anglo-Dutch wars.
